Where else can you watch an interview with a US Presidential candidate while grabbing an iced coffee? Right inside the Boston Public Library, this place has a cool ambiance with screens and lights all around. Lots of seating and service was quick and friendly. Will be coming back to enjoy coffee, news, and books!

It was 5:58pm and I was feeling a bit chilly, so I had a craving for tea.The Newsfeed Cafe was about to close, yet one of the staff members was willing to take my order at a moments notice. Such wonderful and kind customer service! Thank you so much!

An hour into studying at the library, when I started dozing off, I realized everyone around me was sipping on some coffee. It never crossed my mind that I could bring coffee into the library. Newsfeed cafe seemed like the perfect idea...

Alas the cold brew left a lot to be desired. It tasted watered down and had a bitter aftertaste. I could barely drink half of it before I tossed it. Next time, I'd rather come prepared and bring coffee from outside the library.

Nothing outstanding, nothing horrible. It's situated inside a library so you can expect the noise level to be a little on the hushed side. Can't go wrong with both the natural light from the semi-tinted glass to the indoor library lights. I really appreciate the open feel that it has.

Seemed like a pretty normal day and I went in around 2:30PM on a Friday afternoon. I approached the counter and saw that the manager was briefing her staff behind the counter. I was able to catch the attention of one of the staff and she took my order quickly. Pretty standard cold-brew coffee taste at a standard price - nothing spectacular.

This place is purely here for convenience if you're looking to not have to go outside for food and drinks during your time at the library.

I have been patronizing newsfeed at least 3-4 times each week since they opened. Despite rude treatment, their close proximity to my office make them a prime location for myself and most of the others in my office.
On a recent visit, the mildly overweight girl with long dirty blond hair and an accent was observed cutting pastries. A couple of them dropped on the ground and I shockingly witnessed her scooping them up off if the rodent infested library floor, and putting them back on the tray for service.

The food handling needs to be re examined in this location as the staff is often seen handing the food with gloves, taking money, and going back to food handling.  The above mentioned female staff is particularly and egregiously culpable in this offense. I have personally witnessed her practicing disgusting food safety principles while waiting for food, and she seems to joke about it.

Service has never been something to write home about here, nor has the food or beverage. The amount of money they are making while providing sub par service is a disgrace.  But now my entire office and myself will never return. The library floors are known to be infested with filthy rodents. Their lack of concern now extends to the physical well being of their clients. No thank you.

It should be noted that despite the staff being underehelming, there is a newer gentleman working with blond hair who is constantly professional and efficient. He is alone in this regard however, from the manager to the kitchen to the 'baristas' and servers.

The monthly thousand dollars or so my office represents may not be missed, but you will probably get a lawsuit if you don't change your ways. And food inspectors should take note.
